1st day – PORTO ALEGRE - Meeting at the Airport and transport to the Hotel. City tour with visit to historical downtown Porto Alegre, where the formation of the city began, first called Porto dos Casais: Alfândega Square, Museum of Arts, Post Office and Customs buildings. Continuing, City Hall, Public Market and Port. Drive past Casa de Cultura Mario Quintana, Usina do Gasômetro, Ponte de Pedra and Monument to the Azorians. At Matriz Square: Piratini Palace, Cathedral, São Pedro Theatre and Julio de Castilhos Monument. The ride continues along the residential area and Moinhos de Vento district, with its bars, cafes, restaurants and striking shop-windows. Continuing on to the southern part of the city, with views overlooking the Guaíba river. Free afternoon.
2nd day – PORTO ALEGRE / BENTO GONÇALVES / GARIBALDI / GRAMADO (248 Km)
After breakfast, departure from Porto Alegre into the Wine Region, culture developed by the Italian Immigration. Visits to the cities of Bento Gonçalves and Garibaldi, respectively the biggest producers of wine and champagne in Brazil. Typical lunch in the region. Visit to a vineyard, with wine tasting, and to the Museum of the Italian Immigrant. Ride to Gramado, crossing Caxias do Sul - industrial pole of the region. Arrival to Gramado and accommodation.
3rd day – GRAMADO OR CANELA / PORTO ALEGRE (130 Km)
After breakfast, tour around Gramado and Canela, with visits to the Stone Cathedral, Caracol Park and Castelinho - a typical construction from the beginning of the German Immigration. Stops at artcrafts, knitwear, leather goods, and homemade chocolate shops, walk around Lago Negro, and more. By the end of the day, return to Porto Alegre and transfer to the Airport.
