6 DAYS / 5 NIGHTS – AMAZON (2), CHAPADA (1) AND MUTUM (2)



1ST Day – Cuiabá/Jardim da Amazônia

Reception upon arrival at Cuiabá airport. Lunch in Cuiabá, transfer to Jardim da Amazônia Lodge (250 km on paved road and 40km in row road. This transfer takes about 4 hours). Quick introduction tour around the lodge followed by a welcome drink at the swimming pool area. After dinner, the guests use to chat around the warm fire. Overnight.



2nd Day – Jardim da Amazônia

After breakfast, ecological walk on the river banks of Rio Claro to observe the rich wildlife. Lunch in a hut where “matrinxã”, a regional fish is cooked and served in a bananeira leaf. Rest time in a hammock house. Return in canoes and arrival at the lodge around 4pm. Coffee break at the deck and free time to take a bath at the swimming pool with natural mineral water.



3rd Day – Jardim da Amazônia/Chapada dos Guimarães

5:00am – Walk at the break of dawn, return to breakfast and check-out. Transfer to Chapada dos Guimarães. Stopping for lunch in the town of Nobres or Jangada or Cuiabá. Arrival at Chapada, visit to the “Portão do Inferno”, the belvedere at the South America Geodesic Centre and sunset contemplation at the edge of a cliff. Check-in in a lodge, dinner and overnight



4th Day – Chapada dos Guimarães/Pousada Mutum

After breakfast, visit to the National Park of Chapada dos Guimarães and the Water Falls Tracks. Lunch in a restaurant with panoramic view. Transfer to Pousada do Rio Mutum passing through the small village of Mimoso, where Mal. Candido Rondon was born. On the way, observation of many kind of birds, small mammals and tipical landscapes. The transfer takes about 3 hours and a half. After check-in, introduction to the lodge and area around it. In the evening a delicious piranha soup is served just before dinner. After dinner, introduction to the activities of the following days. Overnight.



5th Day – Pantanal – Pousada do Rio Mutum

After breakfast, ecological walk through the jungle and open fields to observe animals and birds. Having the largest diversity of bird species in the world, the Pantanal is specially interesting for bird watching. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, boat trip down the Mutum river banks, Siá Mariana bay and Chacororé bay. Return by boat to the lodge, stopping to see the sunset at the Siá Mariana bay and do piranha fishing*. In the evening, cayman feeding with the piranhas fished from Siá Mariana bay and nocturnal animals spotting. Dinner and overnight.

*According to the law, fishing is forbidden from October to March.



6th Day – Pousada Mutum/Cuiabá

4:30am – Canoeing in the Mutum river to observe the sunrise and the beauty of wildlife at the break of dawn in the Pantanal. Return to the lodge, breakfast and check-out. Transfer to the Cuiabá airport.

Pousada - Cuiabá at 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM
