It starts with brief information about the tourist spots heading for the mouth of the Guanabara Bay. We go past the Glória Church, W.W. II fallen’s memorial, MAM, Santos Dumont Airport, Statue of Christ the Redeemer, Flamengo Park, Botafogo Small Bay, Urca and Sugar Loaf. As we leave the Bay behind we go past the São João Fortress, Laje Fortress and Santa Cruz Fortress. Soon after we go by the Leme’s seafront, Copacabana Beach and Arpoador.
From Ipanema we go on towards the Cagarras Archipelago where at certain times of the year it is usual to sight sea species such as dolphins, turtles and with a bit more of luck even whales –which take this way as part of their migratory route-. Continuing with our itinerary we go across 3 Km more towards the Redonda Island and the Filhote Island, where we find a real ecological sanctuary with a special consideration for sea birds and the water flush created by the Filhote Island’s underground cave, which depending on sea tide and winds becomes the main attraction.
After stops for photographs and an on-board service offering, with no additional cost, coconut water and mineral water we turn back to Marina da Glória.
