HD Three Borders Mark

HD Three Borders Mark
In order to geographically mark the border of Foz do Iguaçu (BR) with the neighboring cities of Puerto Iguazu (AR) and Puerto Franco (PY), founders of the cities built an obelisk called "mark" on each city, forming a vertex of a equilateral triangle, symbol of equity and respect among the nations.

The "Three-Frontier Marks" were built with cement rock and later painted with the national colors of each country. They establish the territorial limit and the sovereignty of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. The Mark inaugurated on July 20, 1903, along with the Argentine represents a most singular tourist attraction point in the city. From the place we can see the meeting of the waters of the Iguaçu and Paraná Rivers forming the "foz" (Junction) of the rivers.
