Half Day City Tour (lunch included)
Departure from Hotel, driving a journey of 12 miles along the Ponta Negra following the Negro River into the city center. We will visit the Municipal Market, built at the beginning of the century. Inside its metallic structure we can find regional products: fish, fruits and herbs. Afterwards, we will pass by the Government Palace, and take a view of the nearby creek with the typical houses on stilts (palafitas). Then, we will visit the indian museum, belonging to the Salesian Roman Catholic Nuns, Where we can appreciate some of the culture of the local upper Rio Negro tribes.

After lunch, we go to our final destination: the Amazon Opera House, the main symbol from the golden ages of the rubber boom, inaugurated in 1896. Due to a restoration done of few year ago, it has kept all the splender from that period. Return to Hotel.
